Today's entry marks the 100th post we've made here at Celtics, Music, & Hot Bitches. To celebrate, let's talk about some of the big headlines from the last 24 hours.
Yesterday's News
with Conor Levis
Let's reviews yesterday's news by giving them all titles.
Worst Sports News Headline of the Year (Thus Far)
"McNair's blood alcohol was twice the legal limit" reported by the Associated Press.
Ummm ok? Twice the legal limit of what? Driving? Was Steve McNair driving when he died? Noooo. He was sleeping in his house. I didn't realize people aren't allowed to sleep while intoxicated or drink in the confines of their own home. Are we not allowed to be drunk at home? I can understand why they would report this story to inform us of the state McNair was in at the time of his death, but the wording of it was horrendous. It's almost seems like they're still trying to paint McNair as a bad guy because of this whole ordeal. Shame on whoever wrote this article. The guy has passed, let's show him some respect instead of making it sound like he did something wrong.
Greatest Headline of the Year (For Horny, Perverted Sports Fans Everywhere)
"Nude Video of ESPN Reporter Erin Andrews Stirs Controversy" reported by ABC.com
You read that correctly. The hottest babe in sports reporting was apparently spied on in her hotel room by some perv with a video camera. I was skeptical at first but the validity was confirmed by Erin's lawyer who has threaten to sue any and every person or website who publishes the video. For that reason and moral reasons we will not post the video here but it's been stored in Google's cache so you can still search for it on Google. I have seen the video, of course only to fulfill my duty to all of you as a reporter on this day...not because I wanted to, and let me say it is definitely her.
Most Disappointing Headline (For Horny, Perverted Sports Fans Everywhere)
"Erin Andrews Video Links Trick Users Into Downloading Virus" reported by AOL.com.
Pretty self explanatory. Don't try downloading the video just because you want it, you perverts.
Most Nonchalant Celebration of a National Historic Event's Anniversary (In the U.S.)
The 40th Anniversary of the First Landing on the Moon. It was 1969 yesterday that Apollo 11 made the first landing on the moon. Apollo 11's landing was so uncelebrated, the only reason I even knew it was yesterday is because of the special logo google put up on it's website. Never saw anything on TV, no articles on the internet. Is it because everybody is a conspiracy theorist who thinks we never landed on the moon to begin with and only faked that we did so we would one up the Russians before they did...like me?
You can read all the interesting tidbits about Apollo 11's flight right here. There's even something for all the conspiracy theorists with some very intriguing facts!
Astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong in the NASA's training mockup of the Moon and lander module. Hoax proponents say that the film of the missions was made using similar sets to this training mockup.
Animation of the two photos, showing that though Armstrong's camera moved between exposures, the flag is not waving.
Most Shocking Sports Story (Maybe of the Year)
"Clippers to acquire three Wolves players" (allegedly) reported by ESPN.com
Translation: Mike Dunleavy actually made a competent move as general manager...and the Earth didn't even explode! Dunleavy turned Quentin Richardson's corpse into 3 servicable rotation guys who can contribute. The one factor that takes away from this great moment is that, David Kahn, Timberwolves' GM, was the other party making the trade.

Who could be more incompetent than Mike Dunleavy? Oh yeah, Chris Wallace. Sorry we forgot ya, Chris!
Most Visually Disturbing Headline (Unless You're a Poo Lover)
Long story short, a female inmate at Taycheedah Correctional Institution will spend another year and six months in prison for throwing her feces at a prisoner. Yes, she through her own shit at another inmate like a fucking monkey. What makes the visual even worse is when you actually see a photograph of the woman, Lanita Dotson....

WOW, I am so sorry! Actually, I'm really not. Good luck getting that image out of your head. Assholes. : )
