"I'd bet a million dollars on DOOM against Lil' Wayne"

Today is Earth Day, the day intended for everyone to show their appreciation of mother nature. There are a couple reasons to love Earth day...first being that it gives us another excuse to smoke what this great Earth gave us (not that we need a reason to, but atleast it feels like we're being productive at the same time). Another reason is that many schools across the country are putting our young kids to work outdoors today for the occasion...which is always a good thing considering how lazy the younger generations are (including mine but that's beside the point). Even President Obama gave his approval...in his own way. I guess what I'm saying is, do your part today if you can. Help delay the pollution of our Earth before it's inevitably destroyed anyway. That is all.
Happy Earth Day!
"Nothing says Earth Day like kids being productive"

Today's Random Thought
from Conor

Have you ever noticed that the Emergency Alert System cable test is always activated at the worst possible time? For example, tonight an EAS test went off during the Jazz-Lakers playoff game right after Carlos Boozer scored to cut what was once a 15 point fourth quarter Laker lead to just 3 points with 3 minutes remaining. When the game came back on the Lakers had gone back up by 5 and had the ball with 2 minutes left. I had no idea what happened. Also, lately it seems to come on right before the most important scene of a show or movie. If these weekly "tests" are scheduled then why do they pick a time when a big game or a hit show is on? Why couldn't they just run the test during Molly Shannon's piece of shit show Kath and Kim every week? We know that everyone is just waiting for The Office and 30 Rock at that point anyway. Why do we even have it? It's only been activated once in the last ten years...and that one time was by mistake. It wasn't even activated on September 11, so what is it good for? I say absolutely nothing. It just ruins our viewing experience. Let's get rid of it once and for all...and Molly Shannon too while we're at it.

DOOM released a new album!?
by Conor Levis

Yup, everybody's favorite masked rapper is at it again. The underground legend quietly released Born Like This on March 24, 2009, the 5th album under his "MF DOOM" alias, only dropping the MF for this one and strictly going by "DOOM". My friend Kyle and I talked about it the other day but for those who don't know him, DOOM is what Lil' Wayne tries to be. He's dope as fuck and comes up with the most hilarious, illest punchlines and metaphors you'll ever hear.

I was kind of surprised when I saw this new release because I hadn't heard anything about it and really didn't even know this album was in the works. Needless to say, I grabbed it ASAP and have been listening for the last two weeks. In my opinion it's his best work to date...outside of the classic album, Madvillainy. Definitely as far as his solo projects go. My favorite track is "Lightworks", a little biased because he uses J Dilla's "Lightworks" beat off of Donuts which is one of my favorite beats ever. Another track to note is "Batty Boyz" which is a diss song about Batman and Robin. Name another rapper that records a diss track about a fictional superhero? That's why DOOM is the fucking man.

Here's a sick video of Mos Def praising MF DOOM and spitting DOOM lines, found courtesy of Rick:

I love the part at 1:45 where he says "I'd bet a million dollars on DOOM against Lil' Wayne", pretty much echoing what my friend and I talked about. And that's coming from one of the greatest rappers to do it. Also at 2:50, "That's why him and Ghost are together", referring to how Ghostface Killah, who in my opinion is one of the 20 greatest rappers of all-time, of Wu-Tang is now collaborating with DOOM because of how dope he is.

So if you support real Hip-Hop, go out and get the album. Just remember ALL CAPS when you spell the man's name.

Hot Bitch of the Day:

Meagan Good
You might remember her as Nina from Cousin Skeeter. Well, she's all grown up, lost the braces and is smokin' hot. Now she spends her time making cameos in movies and music videos. She's like Disney World...I always wanted to do her when I was 10 and I'd still do her today. She looks Good and she's Hot Bitch of the Day!
